DialogR is a graphical layer on top of R. You are responsible for installing R itself and the required R packages. They are separate from the DialogR application.
- Install R for your operating system.
- Download and install the appropriate DialogR release.
- Start DialogR and select your R installation in the application’s runtime settings.
- Choose Packages → Install required R packages. Wait for installation to finish and resolve any reported failures.
- Use Packages → Update development versions when a required package is too old.
- Import a dataset and follow the first-analysis guide.
Browser / WebR
Ready when you are.
WebR runs R in your browser. Its R runtime and the packages needed for DialogR’s supported dialogs are included; you do not need to install R or its packages on your computer.
WebR is slower than local R. Startup includes loading the runtime and package library. Imports and analyses can also take longer.
You can use the same dataset as in desktop DialogR; it will simply take longer to load, import, and analyse. Allow each operation to finish, and save the files and results you need before closing the browser session.
